WA distributor & service centre
for Bermad Industrial Valves

PRESS RELEASE • July 31, 2019

After many years serving the Water Supply and Resources Industries in Western Australia, Beverley Poor and her Family have made the decision to close the successful Belmont based business WATERING CONCEPTS. Operations and all activities are being wound down in an orderly manner with staff receiving full pay and entitlements.

Watering Concepts commenced business in 1980 with a focus on Irrigation hardware promoting mostly Israeli manufactured equipment imported through Koor Intertrade. This led the Company into local manufacture of high-quality driplines which not only found its way into agriculture but also the largest Heap Leach mining operation in Western Australia’s remote Pilbara region.

Further development saw the Company take on the local distribution of Bermad Automatic control valves which were assembled and serviced in their Belmont workshops. With expertise and care Watering Concepts soon developed a reputation as the “Problem Solvers” of their Industry.

Subsequently a wide range of specifically Water related products was sold to the WaterSupply and Mining Companies in Western Australia. Their client list is a Who’s Who of all the prominent Mining Companies and Water Providers. The principal of the Company Bev Poor was well known for her Community support and charitable work with Belmont Small Business Association, the Variety Club Bash and Perth Zoo to name a few.

Ill health has forced the decision to close the business and friends wishing to contact the family for updates should contact Andrew Poor 0490488326.
