Supporting our Communities
Local, National & International

Since our beginnings in 1980 Watering Concepts has looked to ways of supporting and strengthening the communities in which they work. This includes personal Involvement in the Scouting community; (inaugural) membership of the Belmont Business Enterprise Centre, Variety Club WA and Rotary International. Links of the latter two organisations ensure that local effort and cash, are then leveraged throughout the world to achieve some most worthwhile outcomes, such as the current almost 100% eradication of Polio from the world population.

Variety Bash Event

For 15 years we have been proud supporters of and participants in the Variety Bash Event which has resulted in our 1965 Valiant Sedan “The Lion King” criss-crossing Australia from the Kimberley and the Pilbara across the top end via Tennant Creek, via Darwin, Katherine, Ularu, through North Queensland, northern NSW and back across the Great Southern Road, not to mention the Docker River Rd, Gibb River Rd, as well as numerous un-named, unmarked ‘tracks’ in between.  The car and our crew have completed 15 official and 1 unofficial Bash events and in the process raised in excess of  $150,000.00 for the sick and underprivileged children of Western Australia.

If you want the opportunity to get out there and get dusty and make a difference in the life of a child, then contact Variety WA via www.varietywa.org.au and register your interest. We have included a few photos in our website to whet your appetite.

Living in WA where we have so many opportunities, we also have many opportunities in providing service as volunteers and supporters for those who have less, and we thank all our customers who, by their loyalty and custom, enable us to continue our many avenues of support.

Testimonials

Watering Concepts is proud to acknowledge many loyal customers who have been working with us for 20 years and longer.

Case Studies

A client had wear issues with 300mm pressure sustaining valve, having replaced the body three times in three years.

Watering Concepts observed line pressure upstream and downstream of the valve during typical operation. The pressure differential exceeded the practical limit allowed across a valve and needed to be reduced to avoid CAVITATION and resultant damage to the valve body.

Watering Concepts installed an orifice plate to reduce the pressure differential to within normal operating levels. The sizing of the plate was chosen to take into account the flow and pressure parameters of the system.
